Prisas för forskning och undervisning om förintelsen

Tomislav Dulić, universitetslektor i historia och föreståndare vid Hugo Valentin-centrum vid Uppsala universitet, har tilldelats the Austrian Holocaust Memorial Award 2019.
Utmärkelsen delas ut av Österreichischer Auslandsdienst (Österrikiska utlandstjänsten). Det är en ideell organisation som gör det möjligt för unga österrikare att volontärarbeta utomlands och är inrättad av det österrikiska federala ministeriet för arbete, sociala frågor och konsumentskydd.
Tomislav Dulić spelade en central roll i att etablera samarbetet mellan Hugo Valentin-centrum och Österreichischer Auslandsdienst, vilket ledde till att ett antal unga österrikare gjorde sin ettåriga utlandstjänst vid centret i Uppsala. Det bidrog till ökat utbyte mellan länderna, samtidigt som kunskap spreds om verksamheten vid Hugo Valentin-centrum. En av huvudinriktningarna är forskning och undervisning om Förintelsen och folkmord.
Priset delas ut torsdagen den 11 april på österrikiska ambassaden i Stockholm.
