Fem forskare vid Uppsala universitet bland de mest citerade

Fem forskare vid Uppsala universitet finns med på företaget Clarivates lista ”Highly Cited Researchers” som samlar världens mest citerade forskare.
Listan baseras på analyserad citeringsdata från Web of Science. När forskare refererar till varandras arbeten ger det en indikation på vilka som skriver de vetenskapliga artiklar som anses ha störst betydelse och nytta. Analysen har identifierat de forskare som under perioden 2011–2021 är bland de mest citerade (topp-1%) inom naturvetenskap, samhällsvetenskap och humaniora.
Svenska lärosäten har 65 forskare med på listan. Av dessa är fem verksamma vid Uppsala universitet:
Dan I. Andersson, institutionen för medicinsk biokemi och mikrobiologi.
Zhihan Lyu, institutionen för speldesign.
Mia Wadelius, institutionen för medicinska vetenskaper
Lars Wallentin, Institutionen för medicinska vetenskaper och Uppsala kliniska forskningscentrum (UCR)
Uppsala universitets rektor Anders Hagfeldt finns också med på listan. Han har tidigare forskat inom fysikalisk kemi, senast vid École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL).
Totalt är 6 938 forskare från 69 länder över hela världen upptagna på listan. Flest forskare på listan har USA med 2 764 stycken, Kina med 1 169 och Storbritannien med 579 forskare.
