Vem är bäst i Uppsala på att presentera sin forskning?

Hur kan man läsa en text som inte finns? Varför har män kortare livslängd än kvinnor? Den 29 september äntrar sju forskare V-Dalas scen i Uppsala, för att på fyra minuter presentera sin forskning i tävlingen Forskar Grand Prix.

Forskar Grand Prix är Sveriges största tävling för forskare i presentationsteknik. En av sju deltävlingar äger rum i Uppsala den 29 september. Det är publiken som tillsammans med en jury avgör vem som går vidare till finalen i Stockholm den 28 november. Om ätbara orkideer, om hur man skapar skriftspråket balochiska eller om pesten är antilopernas fel, det är bara några av de ämnen som besökarna kommer att få lära sig mer om. - Vi vill inspirera forskare att berätta om sin forskning på ett enkelt och spännande sätt. Det är viktigt för att öka intresset för kunskap och forskning i samhället, säger Anders Sahlman, nationell samordnare vid föreningen Vetenskap & Allmänhet, VA. - Ett mål med tävlingen är att ge forskningskommunikation högre status och mer uppmärksamhet, men också att visa på bredden i svensk forskning, säger Uppsala universitets kommunikationschef Pernilla Björk. - Tävlingen tydliggör hur viktigt det är att kunna formulera sig lättförståeligt om något man har forskat om i flera år – och hur svårt det kan vara, säger Pernilla Björk. Forskar Grand Prix i Uppsala hålls klockan 17 den 29 september på V-dala nation. Juryn består av Aksel Morisse från Uppsala stadsteater, Mikael Jansson, presschef, SLU, Anna Gårdmark, professor i kvantitativ fisk- och fiskeriekologi, SLU och Helena Danielsson, professor i biokemi, Uppsala universitet. Forskar Grand Prix är en del av vetenskapsfesten ForskarFredag med aktiviteter på 28 orter över hela Sverige.
